I request that the Rucki Committee examine this piece attributed to the artist and give my full authorization for the Committee to render an opinion on the authenticity of this work.

I am fully aware that the Rucki Committee’s written response may not meet my expectations and that the Committee’s opinion may be negative.

I am aware of the provisions of the French laws concerning counterfeiting and artistic forgery which allow the rights holders to take legal action.

If the piece is returned to me with a negative opinion, I renounce all proceedings and actions of any kind against the Jean Lambert Rucki Committee and each of its members and agents.

I am fully aware that the fees for the examination of the piece mentioned on page 3 are due regardless of the outcome of the expertise.

I undertake to have the piece of which I am the owner or the owner’s representative brought to the place indicated by the Committee at the latter’s request. The transport costs are at my expense.

I commit myself to insure the piece for this displacement and for the duration of the examination, and to provide, before the delivery, a certificate of insurance all risks with the following mentions: mention of the committee Jean Lambert Rucki as insured and mention of renunciation of all recourse against him.

I commit myself to take back the piece on the day agreed with the committee and within a maximum of one month, under penalty of paying storage costs, the transport costs being again at my charge.

Attach photographs

The applicant undertakes to provide the following photographs, free of copyright, of professional quality for subsequent publication in the catalog raisonné.

For each sculpture: at least three front, back and profile shots, high resolution digital photo (.tif), on a CD (bronzes must be on a light background) detail shots of the signature, the numbering, the founder’s stamp and any other inscription (300 Dpi JPEGs are accepted).

These photographs will remain the property of the Rucki Committee. The applicant agrees not to reclaim them, regardless of the Committee’s opinion. The applicant expressly authorizes the use of these photographs in the catalog raisonné established by the committee with any appropriate comment.
